Large banks have been under cyber attack lately, and JPMorgan Chase & Co. seems to be the latest victim. In this particular incident, the attackers used a technique know as denial-of-service (DoS), which is designed to overwhelm a server or group of servers with meaningless traffic, so legitimate functions cannot be performed.
